Sheffield Wednesday have offered their season-ticket holders the chance to get their money back for the club’s remaining home games in the 2017/18 campaign.

Managerless Wednesday, who sacked Carlos Carvalhal at the end of 2017, find themselves 16th in the Championship standings following the New Year’s Day defeat to struggling Burton Albion.

As such, the club’s dismayed supporters have met with club chairman Dejphon Chansiri, who has offered to refund the final 10 home games of the team’s season.

A statement on the club's website said: "In his recent 'Ask the Chairman epilogue' Owls chairman Dejphon Chansiri offered supporters the option of a conditional refund on 2017/18 Season Tickets.

"Supporters are advised that any season ticket holder wishing to take advantage of Mr Chansiri's offer should email: [email protected] by this Friday, 5 January at 5pm.

"The club will contact everyone who has made the request next week with full details of the conditions and how the refund will be facilitated."
