Art in the Park dates set

HUNTINGTON

Art in the Park, sponsored by Tri-State Arts Association, will present its juried art show in Ritter Park, adjacent to 13th Avenue and Eighth Street.

The juried exhibit and sale will be June 16 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and June 17 from noon to 5 p.m.

Paintings, photographs, drawings, pottery, jewelry, glass and fiberworks will be available.

Bible college meet and greet planned

Southland Bible College will have a meet and greet throughout the summer by appointment only for those interested  in taking classes for the fall semester. Staff personnel and administration will be  available to discuss options.

Grayson Gallery seeks entries

GRAYSON

The Grayson Gallery and Art Center will present an all-inclusive art show — any subject, any medium accepted.

An opening reception with live music and refreshments will be from 6 to 9 p.m. June 29 during the monthly F!nal Fr!days Art Walk.

Three cash awards  will be given during the opening: People’s Choice, GGAC Board Choice and the Brandon Click Art Appreciation Award, each worth $50.

Artists may submit up to three pieces on two dates: from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 16 and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 1 at the gallery.

There is not entry fee; the gallery will take a 15 percent commission on pieces sold.

Two-D work must be ready to hang with wire hangers; each piece needs artist’s name, medium and title on front or back; all other media may be identified as needed.

Artists with works at the gallery from previous shows may pick up their works at the above times.

The gallery is at 301 E. Third St.

Theater to offer dance training

HUNTINGTON

The Huntington Dance Theatre will offer several sessions this summer.

n A summer intensive for those 8 and older will be 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

n  Imagination Summer Camp for those 4 through 7 will be from 9 a.m. to noon June 25 through 29.

n Summer Session will be from June 18 through July 27.
