Melt Shop Sandwich Chain Bringing 18 New Restaurants To Philly Area

Longmont's Village at the Peaks shopping center on Monday announced four new tenants — all restaurants — coming to the project, bringing to 22 the number of businesses committed to the development.

"With the signing of these leases we are now more than 80 percent leased, which is about 10 percent greater than we projected for this point in time," said Allen Ginsborg, managing director and principal at NewMark Merrill Mountain States.

The new names in the game are Culver's, a burger chain; Jersey Mike's, a sub sandwich outlet; Pie Five Pizza Co.; and Village Inn, the long-running restaurant chain and pie shop.

"Village at the Peaks is in very good shape for our initial phase of store openings this fall, with a second set of openings slated for early 2016, followed by the final set of major openings in spring 2016," Ginsborg said.

In addition, NewMark Merrill Mountain States also announced on Monday that it will turn keys over to Whole Foods, which will officially take possession of its Village at the Peaks location on June 30 to continue the store's build-out.

In the second half of July, the developer will turn over the keys to Wyatt's Wine and Liquor and Sports Authority to continue their store build-outs.

The four new restaurants join 18 other retailers, restaurants and services already announced for Village at the Peaks, including anchors Whole Foods, Regal Cinemas and Sam's Club, along with The Sports Authority, Wyatt's Wine & Spirits, Gold's Gym, Chuck & Don's Pet Food and Supplies, Party City, Parry's Pizza, Bad Daddy's Burger Bar, The Melt, Fuzzy's Taco Shop, Visionworks, Supercuts, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless, Luxury Nails and Spa and Pacific Dental.

Also on Monday, NewMark Merrill Mountain States announced that Village at the Peaks will host a free back-to-school block party and property preview for the community from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 22.

The public is invited to view the shopping center's construction progress through guided tours, as well as celebrate the start of the new school year with giveaways, retailer booths/previews, sampling from the property's restaurants, food trucks, music and more.

"We are excited to share our progress with Longmont-area residents, and we're pleased to host a special property preview event on Aug. 22 so people can come on site for the first time since we began construction and start to experience the new destination for themselves," Ginsborg said.
