From Greek To Irish And The Renaissance, Summer Is Festival Season Around Annapolis

If you are not headed “Downyoshin” for sand and surf and Thrasher’s fries this summer, there are plenty of weekend festivals right here in Anne Arundel County to help you loll away the season.

From the Annapolis Greek Festival right off the bat after Memorial Day to the big guy on the block, the Renaissance Festival beginning in August, all add up to a cure for the summertime blues.

Most have music and revelry as a draw, while others are family-friendly and add up to hot fun in the summertime.

First up is the

Annapolis Greek Festival, which starts May 31 and runs through June 3 at Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 2747 Riva Road, Annapolis.
